Lake description
Carplantis is a quarry of about 50 years old, it was created by sand extraction for the construction of the N33 road in 1960.
The fish
The carp stock of Carplantis is exceptional. The average weight of carp is 35lbs+, with a large number of fish over forty pounds. The biggest carp to date is captured (July 2020) weighed 71lb 4oz (32,4kg).
Swims
Carplantis has four double swims which are all accessible by car. The swims are between 60m2 and 110m2.
Difficulty
Carplantis is no water for the novice carp angler. The great depths and capricious character of the water does require some experience.

For Carplantis it is not required to bring special equipment. We advise you to carry at least the following.

Carplantis is located in the beautiful tranquil landscape of Drenthe in the midst of the meadows in the immediate vicinity of the village of Rolde.
